CROCHET PATTERN: Knotty Hair tie

An easy crochet pattern that works up in virtually no time. Great way to use up all the leftover yarn scraps for a last minute gift or the perfect ietm to include in your markets.

MATERIALS & TOOLS:
DK yarn (size 3)
2.5mm crochet hook
elastic hair tie
yarn needle
scissors

KEY / US TERMS:
ch/s – chain/s
st/s – stitch/es
slst – slip stitch
sc – single crochet
hd – half double crochet
dc – double crochet
tr – treble crochet

PATTERN:
For this pattern you will be working around the foundation ch.

Ch 33.

Side 1-
Crocheting into back bumps of the chs: slst into 2nd ch from the hook, sc, hd, 2 dc, 3 tr, dc, hd, sc, 10 slst, sc, hd, dc, 3 tr, 2 dc, hd, sc, slst. ch1.

Turn around to work on the other side of the foundation chain.

Side 2 – Working on the other side of the foundation chain: slst, sc, hd, 2 dc, 3 tr, dc, hd, sc, 10 slst, sc, hd, dc, 3 tr, 2 dc, hd, sc, slst.

Break off yarn, pull through and weave in your ends. Tie the finished piece around a hair tie in a single knot.
